STIHL MS 500¡ - Professional Chainsaw - 79.2 cc - 6.7 HP

I purchased a new Stihl MS500i with 36” RS Full Chisel chain/bar to compliment my older MS 416 with 32” RS Full Chisel chain/bar.

I have been using the powerful 416 for the last 20 years on our farm. This fuel injected 500i starts easier, is lighter and runs more powerful than the 416. Very pleased with the weight and performance of the 500i.

I’ve used the saw bucking firewood logs and will be cutting several trees down soon. It starts easy, is very powerful, much lighter than a typical saw with this much horsepower. So far I’m very happy with the saw.

It was another great experience ordering from saw suppliers. I ordered the Stihl 500i and chains to fit it. The order was delivered in a very short time only 2-3 days I believe. I haven’t had a chance to run the saw yet but am anticipating a good experience there too. It should be a good step up from my current saw an MS 362.

Out of the box, no mods, it kicks butt!
