I work on a lot of big live oaks on my property and have quite a few chainsaws including a Stihl MS461 with 32 “ bar, Husky 372 with 28” bar, two Stihl MS261.
Recently I bought two new Stihls from Saw Suppliers, a MS500i with 36” bar and a Stihl 400c with a 25” bar. These two saw are lighter and more powerful than any of my other mid-sized saws and perform admirably on very large hardwoods.
Saw Suppliers has been a fantastic resource for me with these saws.
This is quite literally the only proper pickaroon for sale today.
This is more or less the exact design you used to be able to buy 30 years ago and the same design my grandfather used to build.
Its way heavier duty than the other options, it can push and pull logs, and it can pick up firewood whether you stick it in the end or even the side.

Service from SawSuppliers is fast. Wish they would take questions over phone. I tried several times in the past to phone and no return calls. Bought Echo saws other place.
Exact fit. Very happy with the product but the time it took to get it was not what I expected. For something in stock 3 weeks seems long
